ShrinkIt 3.0.3 -------------- The second pause is gone when opening an archive with an enormous number of items. It skips right to the item to extract. The maximum # of items which can be processed at any one time has been reduced to 450 because of this modification. (Requested by the TCS crew at the Washington Apple Pi) Problems overwriting locked, invisible files no longer occurr. NuFX records are 4 bytes smaller per record than previous versions. I always used 64 byte records when only 60 byte records were really necessary. Any file system having an id < 14 can be extracted, or at least shrinkit will attempt to extract the file. If you archive any file with GS-Shrinkit 1.0d18 or higher on an AppleShare system, the option_list information and file_sys_id will be set correctly. Previous versions of ShrinkIt 3.0 will refuse to extract these types of files. So, SHK 3.0.3 is a mandatory update. Fixed problem that previous versions of ShrinkIt had with writing small sparse files. Small sparse files consisting of a single data block with the rest remaining sparse would always have the second $100 bytes of the only data block set to all zeroes. SHK 3.0.3 prevents this. CRCs are checked properly on archives that have LZW/2 records. Previous versions of ShrinkIt always ignored the CRCs on LZW/2 records and would just extract them, but not inform anyone that anything had gone wrong.
